IET Student Advisors

Our Student Advisors play a key role in helping the IET to promote the benefits of membership on campus.

Most of our Student Advisors are Members or Fellows of the IET and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience of how the IET can be of help to you whilst you are studying and looking ahead to your future career.

There are currently over 100 Student Advisors in UK Universities and 70 in overseas Universities and their role is to act as a link between you and the IET, providing you with the information you require to join into membership of the Institution and/ or get more involved in our activities and knowledge sharing.

Here’s a list of some of information and resources you can expect to be provided by your Student Advisor:

  • Student membership packs and application forms
  • Contact details of people in your local IET network
  • An IET notice-board providing posters about IET products and services, professional development and registration, including up to date notices of activities in your local area and also nationally
  • A presentation about ‘What’s in IET membership for you?’
  • Information about IET undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships, competitions and prizes that you can take part in

You can find your local Student Advisor by using our search facility.
