IET Student Ambassadors

Our Student Ambassadors play a key role in helping the IET to promote IET activities taking place locally and on campus.

Most of our Student Ambassadors are also Student Members of the IET.  There are currently over 110 Student Ambassadors in UK Universities and overseas Universities and their role is to act as an Ambassador for the IET helping to provide you with the information you require to get the most out of your membership and get more involved in our activities.

Here’s a list of some of information you can expect to be provided in your department by your Student Ambassador:

  • To ensure the IET has a presence on relevant departmental notice boards
  • To keep IET literature and posters are kept up to date on departmental notice boards
  • To ensure there is a supply of IET literature and materials in communal areas within engineering and IT departments.
  • To run an IET stand at the university fresher fair (selected universities only)
  • To maintain contact with the academic Student Advisor at your university
  • To actively promote IET Local Network events to fellow students
  • To research opinions from other students on IET membership, products and services and provide feedback to IET to allow for continuous improvements of service.
