That's the goal of the man who invented such a technology, and this week Li-Fi took a step out of the domain of science fiction and into the realm of the real when it was shown to deliver speeds 100 times faster than current Wi-Fi technology in actual tests.

UK Ipv6 Council

The UK IPv6 Council is a non-profit technology user group focused on IPv6 deployment and adoption in the United Kingdom. Members include Sky, BT, Virgin Media, Cisco and Goldman Sachs. The UK IPv6 Council was established on April 4th, 2014, as a local chapter of the IPv6 Forum.

Innovations Award Winner 2012, Information and Communications - Mobile IP Node: Cassidian Ltd

In response to evolving communication needs, Cassidian began investigating ways to enable organisations, such as the military and rescue teams, to securely transfer information in dynamic, highly stressed and mobile environments. What was established was the Mobile IP (Internet Protocol) Node that can be deployed in any locations without a fixed infrastructure or where the fixed infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed. Recognised for progressive ideas and unique capabilities within this field, Cassidian was awarded with the 2012 IET Innovation Award for Telecommunications.
