Professor Piet Bergveld 40 years of ISFET technology: From neuronal sensing to DNA sequencing. 

Going right back to the beginning, we are delighted to present an exclusive feature interview with Professor Piet Bergveld, the inventor of the ISFET, in which he looks back over his life and career, describes the moment at which he came up with the idea of combining electronics and biochemistry, and the challenges that he faced with the early development of his biomedical devices.
