Chemical indexing
A controlled indexing system for inorganic substances and material systems designed to overcome a number of problems which arise when searching for chemical substances using uncontrolled index terms.
Numerical indexing
Used to solve problems arising from the variety of ways in which an author may express a particular value. Inspec's numerical data indexing standardises the format in which numerical values are shown.
