Call for evidence on the review of the health of Britain’s working age population: IET comments to Dame Carol Black.
Abstract
The IET has been working with the other engineering institutions to raise the profile of occupational health issues within the engineering profession. This evidence reflects the findings of this work. There is a poor understanding in many companies of the risks and potential benefits relating to occupational health issues. Furthermore, there is a need for further research into occupational health, and a shortage of occupational health specialists in the UK.
