Description
Consultation on “Developing a sustainable framework for UK aviation”: Engineering the Future comments to the Department for Transport (DfT).
Abstract
The aviation sector is an important and strategic business for the UK. This submission considers the trade-off between growth of the aviation sector and pollutant and other emissions; the strategic national importance of some aspects of UK aviation; international connectivity and hub airports; the UK’s connectivity needs over the next 20 to 50 years; the benefits of future high speed rail networks to aviation; and climate change impacts.
