Input to HSE on updating HSG141 Electrical Safety on Construction Sites: IET comments to the Health and Safety Executive
In response to HSE’s request for views on the content of their revived guidance on electrical safety in construction, HSG141, the IET welcomed the fact that the document was to be updated and re-issued. Practical examples of how accidents can occur were given based upon input from the Wiring Regulations Policy Committee, along with an example of lack of supply bad practice. A comprehensive list was given of standards that should be considered in drafting the guidance. The IET offered to comment on the draft new HSG141 when available.
