Fredrik Verkroost is an experienced Chairman/CEO of technology companies worldwide, specializing in corporate strategy, company turnarounds and incubating innovation.
For the past 10 years Fredrik has served private and public equity shareholders / Funds and boards of innovative technology companies with their incubation, development, turnaround and financing needs, and presently sits on the boards of a number of innovative companies spanning telecoms, healthcare, environmentally friendly packaging and entertainment.
In his earlier corporate career, Fredrik held the following responsibilities:
He was a former long-standing participant on the European Council on Corporate Strategy, and a former member on the European Energy Board.
His management roles have covered a broad range of technology sectors, including Test & Measurement solutions; Mobile, Fixed-line and Satellite Communications; Energy Management; Industrial Controls & Automation; Building Automation; Electronic Health Records for healthcare reforms; non-toxic and non-PVC Food Packaging; Database Analytics Software; Kinegram bank note security; Chip Card industry; Signal Processing Algorithms for the oil, automotive, water and voice recognition industries.
During his career, Fredrik has completed over £1bn in company financing through IPO’s, acquisitions, mergers, and disposals. He also secured and managed the sponsorship of the ICO Global Challenger (the infamous Branson/Fossett/Lindstrand round-the-world balloon race).
Fredrik holds a PhD and B.Sc. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineer from the Victoria University of Manchester. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering & Technology, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, and formerly a Fellow of the Institute of Management.
