Annette Smith became Chief Executive at the Association for Science Education in March 2009, leading the organisation during significant changes to its operational structure and governance. Prior to this she was a Director with the British Science Association. Her first degree was in Physics and she also holds a Masters in Science Education. Annette has wide experience of the world of science education as well as of public engagement with science. She has been President of the European Science Events Association (EUSCEA) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and of the Royal Society of Arts. Annette is Chair of Governors at Harris Academy Greenwich.
