Payment of fees for members in Nigeria

The IET has made special arrangements for members in Nigeria so they can pay their membership fees in local currency. The exchange rate is set at 250 Naira to £1.00.

All IET membership fees and Engineering Council fees are effective from 1 January 2013.

Membership of the IET runs for 12 consecutive months from date of payment (e.g. an individual joining the IET in March 2013 would receive a renewal notice in April 2014).

Standard IET membership fees for 2013 (NGN)

Fellow (FIET)	38,750 Naira
Member with designatory letters (TMIET or MIET)	33,250 Naira
Associate	33,250 Naira
Student and apprentice	5,000 Naira
Student and apprentice (for duration of course)	12,500 Naira

 

IET qualified and registered membership fees for 2013 (NGN)

If you are professionally registered with the Engineering Council, or were awarded the title Chartered Electrical Engineer through the IEE, you are required to pay the IET qualified and registered member fee.  This rate includes the standard IET membership fee. 

IET registered Fellows: Chartered Engineers, Incorporated Engineers or Chartered Electrical Engineers	46,500 Naira
IET registered members: Chartered Engineers, Incorporated Engineers or Chartered Electrical Engineers	41,000 Naira
IET registered Fellows: Engineering Technicians or ICT Technicians	42,000 Naira
IET registered members: Engineering Technicians or ICT Technicians	36,500 Naira

 

Engineering Council fees for 2013 (NGN)

If you are professionally registered with the Engineering Council, you are required to pay the IET qualified and registered members fee plus the Engineering Council registration fee below.

Chartered Engineer (CEng)	8,375 Naira
Incorporated Engineer (IEng)	7,075 Naira
Engineering Technician (EngTech)	4,075 Naira
ICT Technician (ICTTech)	4,075 Naira

 

Reduced IET membership fees for 2013 (NGN)

Reduced membership subscription rates are available to members in certain circumstances. The exchange rate is set at 250 Naira to £1.00.
