Application fees for professional registration and Fellow (FIET) assessment through the IET

Engineering Technician (EngTech) for apprentices graduating in 2012 & 2013 *	£26.50

* Please note this fee is valid from 15 April 2013 until 31 December 2013, and is only applicable to apprentices graduating in 2012 or 2013.

Transfer of registration fees (from another UK engineering institution)

To transfer your professional registration to the IET, you will need to ensure that your Engineering Council subscription payments are up to date.

Engineering Council entrance fees

The Engineering Council charges an entrance fee which is collected by the IET upon confirmation of registration. Successful candidates' names will be added to the Engineering Council's list of registered engineers.

Once you are professionally registered with the Engineering Council, you are required to pay the IET qualified and registered member fee plus the Engineering Council annual registration fee.

Re-application fees within three years of original application

If you are applying more than three years since your original application, you will be required to pay the full application fee as stated at the top of this page.

Use a sterling cheque or banker's draft made payable to "The Institution of Engineering and Technology". Please write your membership number, category of registration you are applying for and payment reference on the reverse of the cheque or draft. Please note that we do not accept payment by Western Union.

We do not accept or take any liability for payment by cash sent by post.

All fees are non-refundable with the exception of the appeal fee.
