IET members can apply without BCS membership

The IET have partnered with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, through a licensing agreement (Dec 2012) that focuses on enabling IET members to apply for CITP, without a need for BCS membership.  

IET members who are awarded CITP will be added to the register of Chartered IT professionals.

CITP Certificates of Current Competence are revalidated at five yearly intervals.  Holding a valid Certificate of Current Competence demonstrates objective evidence that the IET member is up to date with best practice in their profession.

When can an IET member apply for CITP via the IET?

CITP application, via the IET, will be available in the Summer 2013.
