Fees for CITP

Current fees for Chartered IT Professional (CITP) registration.

Application fee

Please note that the application fee for Chartered ITP Professional (CITP) is £192 and is paid online directly to the BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT. This includes 20 per cent VAT.

Entrance fees

The BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, charges an entrance fee which is collected by the IET upon confirmation of the CITP award. IET members who are awarded CITP will be added to the register of Chartered IT Professionals.

Re-application fees

Re-application for CITP registration may be submitted after a period of six months has passed from the last application and the standard CITP application fees apply.

Request to transfer registration fees (from another UK engineering institution)

To request to transfer your CITP registration to the IET, you will need to ensure that your BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, subscription payments are up to date.

IET certificates

Membership or professional registration certificates are provided free of charge, unless a replacement professional registration certificate is required in which case a small administration fee will be charged. Professional registration fees payment methods

You can pay your professional registration fees in a number of different ways:

By debit card, credit card or PayPal

Pay online by debit card, credit card or PayPal via My IET (login required).

If you have not previously registered a My IET account, it is quick and easy to set up. Click on the "register" button that appears at the top of each IET website page and follow the on-screen instructions and once registered click on the My Account tab and follow the Membership Payments link.

By bank transfer

Make your payment to Barclays Bank, sort code: 20-65-82, account no: 50480606, quoting the reference 'The IET' and your membership/reference number.

By post

Complete the payment form in your application pack indicating your preferred payment method and post to:

If paying by cheque, use a sterling cheque or banker's draft made payable to "The Institution of Engineering and Technology". Please write your membership number, category of registration you are applying for and payment reference on the reverse of the cheque or draft. Please note that we do not accept payment by Western Union.
