IET launches #ISeeMore vlogger campaign as part of Engineer a Better World

Over the last week the IET has launched an innovative new campaign to open children’s eyes to the variety of exciting careers in engineering.

The IET’s #ISeeMore is specifically targeted at children aged 9 and upwards and aims to help young people ‘see more’ of the engineering behind brands, technology and everyday objects that they love and use on a daily basis.

 

To launch the initiative, some of the biggest and most popular YouTube vloggers went behind the scenes at well-known attractions and brands to find out about the vital role of engineering.

 

The videos feature Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio Tours, Chessington World of Adventures, Shazam and Fun Kids Radio. They include interviews with inspirational engineers to showcase the creativity and diversity of careers in engineering.

 

Later in the year, the IET will be launching its #ISeeMore prototype competition which will see the Institution team up with Cadbury’s to launch an engineering challenge for children. There will also be an #ISeeMore social media campaign in November to coincide with Tomorrow’s Engineers Week.
