E&T magazine: evolving beyond the boundaries of print...

Packed with news, features and articles written by award-winning journalists, the IET’s flagship magazine is evolving...

E&T magazine has progressed and grown beyond the boundaries of the familiar print magazine and now represents a vast repository of material that members can tap into wherever they are.

The IET has long recognised that its members need easy access to the latest engineering news and the E&T team has been working to ensure you can receive this in the most convenient way possible. New technical content resources have been developed to provide problem-solving solutions and Engineering & Technology Jobs continues to evolve, ensuring that the best jobs from top recruiters are brought to you.

E&T magazine is the only engineering and technology magazine in the UK to cover such a breadth of subjects, providing high quality journalism on the latest advancements in engineering or technology-related fields. The monthly magazine also has a website (www.eandtmagazine.com), regular e-newsletters and an iPad edition, which is free to members. The website is regularly updated throughout the day with the latest engineering news.

You can ensure that you stay up to date with regular news by opting to receive E&T’s e-newsletters. Visit MyIET from the website and select the newsletters of your choice in the Interests tab. E&T Daily is the IET’s most frequent newsletter, delivered Monday to Friday, covering the top engineering news stories for that day. You can also choose from the more comprehensive fortnightly newsletter, E&T News, and specialist newsletters covering your field of expertise in more detail such as E&T Electronics. In addition, as an IET member you have free access to the E&T iPad edition. Visit the E&T website for more details, or go directly to the Apple App Store and download your free subscription through the Newsstand.

Technical advancements

Sourcing technical solutions for projects can be challenging. In response, the IET has developed E&T Webinars and White Papers bringing you details of the latest technical advancements from top companies such as IBM and Anritsu. This collection of free, authoritative, technical product reports and white papers enables members to increase their knowledge across a range of engineering and technology disciplines.

The series of interactive webinars aims to help you stay abreast of the latest technology developments, while improving your knowledge across a host of engineering-related disciplines. These free-to-attend webinars put members directly in touch with industry experts. You can join the E&T Webinars community at http://mycommunity.theiet.org/communities/home/391 to discuss topics and connect with industry peers.

A new essential source of engineering products and suppliers has been developed, E&T Marketplace, which will be launching in autumn this year. This will enable you to source key product information and service providers, helping to solve some of the technical issues faced by engineers.

Careers

The E&T portfolio also includes the careers site, E&T Jobs, packed full of top jobs from top recruiters. Visit www.theiet.org/jobs to search for your next career move, sign up for email alerts, or post your CV and let recruiters find you. Over 50,000 job seekers use Engineering & Technology Jobs each month, with many successful in finding their next job to apply for.
