IET Working Group producing first ever professionalism and ethics guidelines for the IT industry in India
As part of the IET’s endeavour to promote professionalism and ethics across engineering and technology disciplines worldwide, it has created a working group on ‘Professionalism and ethics in the IT industry in India’. This working group has tasked itself with producing the first ever professionalism and ethics guidelines for the IT industry in India.
The working committee is chaired by Mr.Subroto Bagchi co-founder of international IT consulting company MindTree, and committee members include prominent IT professionals Mr N R Narayana Murthy (Infosys), Mr Clas Neumann (SAP Labs), Mr I Vijay Kumar (Wipro), Mr Subendu Ghosh (BSNL), Dr Pankaj Chandra (IIM Bangalore), and Mr Sheahan Varghese (TLA).
Throughout 2011 the focus group has been conducting sessions with representatives from all sections of the IT industry from students and young professionals to senior management, and throughout the country including Bangalore, Pune, Delhi, and Chennai.
