Career pathway for ECS card holders
The IET and the Joint Industry Board (JIB) have provided a career pathway for ECS card holders to fast track into professional membership of the IET.
Fast track to professional membership
Both government and industry have emphasised the need for industry-wide certification schemes to confirm the levels of competence of properly skilled crafts people and eliminate unsafe working practices. ECS cards are becoming the ‘licence to work’ for many electrician and related electro-technical trades.
To encourage an increase in professionalism across the building and construction industry the IET and the Joint Industry Board (JIB) have provided a career pathway for ECS card holders to fast track into professional membership of the IET. Working towards achieving a globally recognised qualification, EngTech, IEng, CEng, demonstrates hard work and dedication whilst showing a commitment to your profession.
The IET is offering ECS Installation Electrician Gold and Platinum card holders a streamlined application to TMIET or MIET membership.
