I applied for a transfer to a different category of membership. How can I find out the progress of my application?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer life membership as our membership fees are reviewed each year.
Once your renewal has been processed, an online receipt will be generated. You can access your receipt via the IET website. Alternatively, contact Member and Customer Services on +44 (0) 1438 765678 or complete the online enquiry form.
The IET card is issued for the duration of your membership and designatory letters/professional registration details can change over time. Including these details would mean that replacement cards would be required more frequently, at a greater cost to the IET. The card is intended to demonstrate membership rather than level of qualification. If you do want proof of your designatory letters or professional registration, you can request a certification letter.
The IET card is issued for the duration of your membership however; a replacement will automatically be issued if your personal details or category of membership change. Alternatively, you can request a new membership card from Member and Customer Services.
You will automatically receive a replacement card if your category of membership changes. If your card is lost please contact member and customer services team: Tel: +44 (0)1438 765678
You can check your current membership category by going to My IET and clicking on ‘My membership’. If your transfer to a different category of membership is delayed or placed on hold, a letter will be sent detailing the reasons for this.
