Q: I have already paid my subscriptions for 2008 on the understanding that I was a Member without designatory letters. I don't want to be classed as an Associate. Can I have my money back?
A: No. The proposed amendments to the Bye-laws were circulated to members in advance of the Special General Meeting held on 17 May 2007 and the decision to change the Bye-laws was published immediately thereafter. Full details can be found on the IET website at www.theiet.org/about/governance.
