Career History
I am a telecommunications engineer working for Cable & Wireless, Barbados and am involved in triple services as well as multi-service access nodes provisioning, network monitoring, design and maintenance.
The IET
I joined the IET for further personal development. I also joined to keep abreast with the changes in technology, for further possible international opportunities in telecom's engineering with regards to the designing, implementing and maintaining all triple play services networks both wired and wireless.
The IET accurately targets my areas of interest within the telecommunications market. In terms of additional benefits of being both a member of the IET as well as Cisco Certified, I have been able to become more marketable as an engineer and more knowledgeable with readily available information that the IET provides. Where Cisco is concerned, I have been able to become more armed with knowledge to be in a position to branch out and do some part time consultancy.
