Become an in-company mentor
Members and companies often approach the IET for guidance on in-company mentoring. The IET offers suggestions on ways to find out about becoming a mentor in your company.
Who to contact
The majority of in-company mentoring schemes are managed by the human resources department. If you are interested in mentoring a colleague within your company it is recommended that you contact your HR department to advise them of your interest.
IET accredited professional development schemes
If your company has an IET accredited professional development scheme, it will have a mentoring scheme operating within the professional development scheme. Again, it is recommended that you contact your HR department to advise them of your interest.
No mentoring scheme in your company?
If your company does not have a formalised mentoring scheme, visit our mentoring resources to find out more about mentoring and download our information sheets. If you are interested in setting up an in-company mentoring scheme the IET can offer support and mentor training.
Mentor training
The IET offers a one day mentor training course. If there are six or more people interested in attending, this course can be delivered in-house offering significant financial savings and content tailored to your specific requirements.
IET mentoring service
