CMI Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management and Leadership programme for Incorporated Engineers

CMI Level 5 Diploma in Extended Management and Leadership for IEng

Exclusively for IEng Professionals

The IET has again joined with the CMI to provide recognised qualification courses in Management and Leadership to IET Members.  We are pleased to announce the introduction of a New Fast Track Level 5 Diploma qualification in Management and Leadership, exclusively for IEng Professionals.

IEng Professionals - Fast track to a recognised Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management and Leadership

Through mapping the Engineering Council’s UK-SPEC standard for IEng registration against the CMI level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership, the IET is introducing this new fast track programme exclusively for IEng candidates.

The mapping allows IEng registered candidate’s to take seven modules instead of the usual nine modules on the standard Diploma, but IEng candidates will still achieve the full Level 5 Diploma qualification. This means that  IEng candidates will complete the full recognised Level 5 Diploma programme at a faster pace, as they have just over 20% fewer modules to complete.

Aimed at middle managers, the Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership is a very comprehensive qualification providing candidates with key management skills that will enable them to operate more effectively as Managers and Leaders.  Everything studied  relates to the management roles and responsibilities exercised, and the elements of the programme ensure that newly appointed learning skills, knowledge and techniques can be applied immediately in practical ways.

This customised programme allows candidates to develop a range of competencies from operational management principles and practices, the development of resource control, stakeholder and quality needs.  The programme also includes a practical work related project  allowing candidates to use the skills and knowledge they have gained on the programme, to assist their own organisation in a business critical area.

The qualification you will achieve

Achieving a level 5 Management and Leadership qualification will not only boost performance but will also enhance career prospects and can be used as a springboard towards further management development as it is a route through to more advanced qualifications such as the Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership qualifications and the MBA.
