The IET Forum on Medical Electromagnetics
Date 21 November 2007
Time
09.30 - Registration17.00 - Close
Location
The Institute of Physics, London, UK
About the seminar
Research in universities and hospitals continues to look for ways to exploit the electromagnetic spectrum to benefit the health of patients.
Two aspects of ongoing importance are imaging and therapy. For example, improvements in diagnostic tools will enable earlier and more accurate diagnosis of disease and the ability of electromagnetic fields to compensate for damage or to help repair that damage are of great value, particularly in minimizing invasive precedures and thereby improving recovery times.
This seminar aims to bring researches and practitioners together from across the academic and clinical spectrum to be updated on some of the latest developments in this field, and in order to share a forum where current and emerging needs can be discussed alongside current and emerging capability.
Who should attend?
This forum will provide a vital source of information to
- Medical physics / electronics,
- Numerical modelers,
- Registrars / consultants in related disciplines (e.g. radiology, radiotherapy),
- Medical equipment manufacturers
- Academic researchers in electromagnetics.
