    About this event

In today's world, visual computing techniques that integrate 2D / 3D image processing, machine learning and 3D graphics and modelling technologies are taking centre stage in the progress of different disciplines.
The speakers will introduce some recent developments in the fields of satellite imaging, health care, visual media and security. The focus will be on the development of new technologies for processing large multi-dimensional and multi-wavelength data sets and the provision of higher-level of understanding, visualisation and knowledge extraction. This presentation will cover some of the challenges in the investigated topics and will identify open research problems that need to be resolved along with some future research directions.
