South Yorkshire Network Schools Liaison

The Schools Liaison Service exists to tell all young people something of the excitement and challenge of the engineering and technology professions. Publications and display material are available from the Service.

It has a network of engineers throughout the country who will be very pleased to attend Careers Conventions, give individual advice, talk to groups of young people, teachers or parents or arrange industrial visits. In fact - to assist in any way possible.

Nationally much of the above work, particularly attendance at Careers Conventions, is arranged with other Engineering Institutions using Engineering Council stands and material from the different Institutions. Some conventions last 3 and 4 days so volunteers to assist at these events are always wanted. If you, our your colleagues, would like to help for a few hours during the day , or in the evening, please contact Peter Harrison. You will find the work interesting and you will be carrying out a valuable service.
