About this event
In posing this question, Dr Etheridge seeks to unravel the realities, conflicts and sheer prejudice that surround the issue of global warming and to analyse our political and economic approach to this critical issue. He argues the case that it is not a single solution issue because of the complexities that are inherent within multi degree of freedom systems, such as economic and ecological models that are notoriously difficult to use as predictors. As a manufacturing systems engineer he argues for a more pragmatic solution that involves a step change to hydrogen based power systems that seek to undermine the carbon economy.
