About the Humber Network
IET Humber Network - About US
The Humber network was officially formed in March 2006 to serve IET members on both the north and south banks of the River Humber. The area has a very strong metals, petro-chemical and food production background and continues to be a key area of industrial growth within the UK. There are currently approximately 3500 IET members in the Humber region. The area covered by our network can be seen on the map below.

The Humber network holds IET events on both sides of the Humber. This year we shall be holding lectures in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Hull – please consult our events page for details. Monthly committee meetings, the annual AGM and the ever popular annual dinner dance will be held at the Forest Pines Hotel, Scunthorpe during the 2007/2008 session.
The Humber local network is part of the IET Yorkshire Regional Network and reports to regional meeting bi-monthly along with South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire Networks.
