The Midlands Manufacturing Group is a specialist manufacturing joint section of The IET and IMechE in the UK Midlands region.
The purpose of the Midlands manufacturing group is to allow members interested in Manufacturing subjects to meet with each other and share in new developments in technology and manufacturing methodologies and to discuss the challenges and opportunities that the sector faces.
The Midlands manufacturing group has a regional reach across the Midlands and cover IET networks in Coventry and Warwickshire, Birmingham, Hereford and Worcester, North West Midlands, East Midlands and Shropshire.
The MMG works closely with the Manufacturing Network, special interest groups and other engineering institutions with the IMechE represented at our meetings. The Group organises a selection of high quality, high profile and prestigious events with the group hosting the Sir Alan Veale, Viscount Nuffield and the Sir Alfred Herbert Lectures each year. All lectures are normally open to visitors and admission is free.
We hope to meet you at one of our forthcoming events and also at the Midlands engineering dinner, which is jointly organised by the IET and IMechE in the region.
If you feel that you would like to support the activities of the Midlands manufacturing group, please contact Neil Jackson, the current Chairman of the group. Any assistance you may be able to give would be much appreciated.
