Shropshire Local Network (SLN).

Events
The 2011-12 events and booklet have been completed and dispatched. The programme has begun, to date we have had good feedback and attendance. We hope the range and calibre of events still to come will encourage your participation.

Update
The STEM contract for Shropshire has been award to the Staffordshire STEM Centre who will lead a new consortium of Shropshire and Staffordshire local authorities in managing the STEMNET contract for our region. We look forward to working with them.  

Details of the events, registration form, etc. can be found on the Events and Calendar Pages. The pages are integrated into the IET content management system making them available through the calendar option. An electronic copy of the programme is available on our Papers Page.

Why not join the Shropshire Local Network List Server and get up to date details of events delivered to your desktop. Not required if you have signed up to receive details of local events through your IET space.
As usual we are jointly organising the events in conjunction with the local IMechE. If you have any ideas for future events, venues, dates please contact us, we will gladly consider them.

Opportunities
We're always looking for innovative ways to involve members, the public, academia and industry with our activities on a local, regional and national basis. If you have any ideas or thoughts on the matter please get in touch Nigel Hales

Why not get involved with the committee, organising activities and events, liaising with schools colleges and businesses. The opportunities are boundless. We welcome any opportunity to introduce people to the virtues of  business and engineering activity. 

We are trying to encourage local companies to endorse membership support for employees. If you think your employees or employer might be interested or benefit please get in touch. The IET have a dedicated team who are able to support the development of education, training, shills, competence and experience frameworks.

IET
The Shropshire Local Network IET has been formed from Shropshire Local Network IEE members and Shropshire IIE members. It has been up and running from the beginning of April 2006. We hope you find our web pages informative and useful. Any feedback on the content or presentation of the information on these pages would be appreciated. Do not hesitate to ask for other information relevant to the Shropshire Local Network that you would like displaying.

Shropshire Local Network IET is part of the West Midlands area. Regular meetings take place to discuss and promote regional projects and events, etc. If you would like to get involved and have any thoughts contact us Nigel Hales.
