Photographs, advertising material and family letters give an intriguing insight into the early days of motoring. Three men in their twenties took up an invitation to start a bus service between Boxmoor Station and Hemel Hempstead. Their Daimler Waggonettes, with hot tube ignition, chain drives and solid tyres, kept them busy driving during the day and repairing them at night. This talk will describe how this developed into a modern motor business and outline the careers of the men involved.
