About this event
In this lecture we will review the history of passive safety design and the background to current worldwide regulations. Vehicle structural design, occupant kinetics and occupant biometrics will also be examined in relation to improved safety under 'real world' crash conditions. The 'new technology' available to prevent crashes occurring will also be reviewed with commentary on its potential effectiveness at reducing the terrible toll projected for the first 20 years of the 21st century.
