Gloucestershire network younger members section
The Younger members group in Gloucestershire aims to provide talks of interest to local students and to young professionals. In previous years, the talks have included such subjects as Digital Music and Sony’s new gaming technology. In addition, the branch jointly runs an annual Short Presentations Competition with the IET Younger members group in Hereford & Worcester, and several life skills training courses.
During 2007/08, the Short Presentations Competition will run again, as well as three life skills courses: 'Routes to Professional Registration', 'Competences' and 'Cultural Differences'.
Although we are a ‘Younger members’ group, our talks are open to everyone, so please come along if you are interested.
Events are held at the University of Gloucestershire’s Park Campus in Cheltenham.
We also hold monthly meetings at a pub in Cheltenham. If you’d be interested in coming along then please contact any of the people below. The meetings cover organising new events and socials and are a good excuse for a pint or two :-)
If you would like to find out more about us, please get in touch with one of the following people who would be glad to help. We're also keen to invite speakers to talk on engineering topics that members will be interesting in hearing about. We'd appreciate any ideas for talk topics that you have, so please get in touch with us.
