About this event
CERN is the European Organisation for Nuclear Research and the world's largest particle physics laboratory. It is located on the Franco-Swiss border near Geneva. The newest experiment, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is due to switch on in 2008.
We will be arranging a guided tour of the facilities at CERN including at least one of the LHC detectors. We will most likely leave Cheltenham Friday evening and return on Sunday afternoon. Spaces will be limited.
