The status of safety as a critical requirement for system engineers is enduring. Indeed, it is a vital characteristic for very many systems, and this remains as true in the 21st century as it was in the 20th. The Safety-Critical Systems Club has operated in support of the safety community since 1991, holding an annual symposium each year, in early February. In this 20th anniversary year, the programme has been augmented with a range of new events.

SSS'12 we will include three full days of presentations, featuring six keynote speakers and an audience participation session based on the BBC's Question Time.   The tools and services exhibition will extend across the first two days, with a reception on the first evening and the usual symposium dinner on the second.  The reception will feature a tasting of speciality regional ciders, and the dinner will conclude with a talk from Bob Malcolm – a staunch supporter throughout the Club's first decade.
