    @inlinemarker@ @inlinemarker@Security of mobile radio systems is vitally important where sensitive voice conversations and data is to be communicated.  TETRA- Terrestrial Trunked Radio was developed by ETSI- the European Telecommunications Standards Institute to provide secure radio systems for mission critical-applications. 

    Many security features are specified which provide countermeasures against a variety of threats. 

    The talk describes these security features in the context of the threats and vulnerabilities of mobile radio systems and the benefits of co-ordinated standards.
