Driverless Car Testing

Lecture

Cars need to be rollover tested for safety, without putting human testers in danger.  This talk is about the development of the driverless system to allow vehicle testing.

    Anthony Best Dynamics (ABD) based in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire have been developing and manufacturing robotic test drivers since 1996. Many of the world’s automotive manufacturers use ABD’s robotic drivers during the ride and handling development of their vehicles. Recent legislative requirements for rollover testing of cars has led ABD to develop a driverless test vehicle test system that allows vehicle testing to be performed without a driver.
