About this event
Representing one of the most ambitious projects in the history of the Scottish water industry, the £120m Katrine Water Project is set to provide high quality drinking water for approximately 700,000 people in the Greater Glasgow area.
When the Loch Katrine Water Supply Scheme was first opened in 1859 by Queen Victoria it was hailed as a marvel of engineering in its day. This project updates John Frederic Bateman’s Victorian legacy.
