    About this event

    Dr Jack Dempsey has over thirty years of experience as an Engineering Consultant within the oil industry, principally as an Engineering Consultant in the Process & Control Systems Department in the Saudi Arabian Oil Company. He conducted specialized simulation studies during design and operational analysis of plant and pipeline processes. He has co-authored and presented more than ten technical papers at International conferences in USA, Europe and the Middle East.  

    This presentation shall provide answers to the following questions; where is oil; how is oil formed; when was oil formed; how do we locate oil; how do we extract oil; how do we process oil? 

    The presentation shall present tables and charts showing world-wide oil production; a global perspective of global energy consumption; oil formation during Carboniferous and Permian geological time zones; the Hubbert Curve which can identify the occurrence of Peak Oil; and a prediction of sources of energy over the next two decades using data extracted from the World Wide Web
