    About this event

We are pleased to announce that Paul Smith, Lead Electrical Engineer at Aquamarine Power will be visiting to talk about power generation from wave and tidal sources.

Paul has a wealth of experience in electrical engineering on both wave and tidal power  generation and a background in design and commissioning of transmission, distribution and generating plant.

Aquamarine Power is an Edinburgh based developer at the forefront of wave energy technology.  They have a wave power device in the water in Orkney and are partnered with SSE Renewables to deliver future wave energy projects.

The announcement of site development leases in the Pentland Firth this year makes it an exciting time for wave and tidal power, all are welcome to what promises to be an interesting talk from an Engineer working in a company at the forefront of this emerging industry.
