Welcome to the IET Manchester Network

Chairman : Peter Lawryshyn IEng FIET

The Manchester Network, formerly the Northern Society of Electrical Engineers founded in 1893, was amalgamated with the Institution of Electrical Engineers on 8 March 1900. The Network can be proud of its history, being one of the largest Networks outside London, and over the years has been one of the most active.

Our Chairman's Message and a link to an historical note on the Manchester Network can be found in the About section.

Technical Groups

Information on the Network's Technical Groups can be accessed from the left-hand menu. For many years such groups have been at the core of our activities.
New members of these groups are always welcome.
