The IET provides many useful services, links to the information on the main IET pages are shown below:
Money Money Money
- Scholarships & Awards - The IET has over £150,000 to allocate each year in scholarships to undergraduates, postgraduates and for management training, conference fees, achievement awards and trips around the world.
Information
- Computer Forum and Professional Networks - These are online discussion forums where you can discuss your project work with those in the know. These forums also carry details of the latest developments and details of job vacancies.
- IET Library - A member can borrow books from the IET library free of charge. The IEE library has an online search and request facility.
Networking
- IET membership will open up opportunities for global networking with others and provide you with invaluable contact with senior industrialists whom you could otherwise be unlikely to come into contact with. Whether you want to meet someone who can offer you a job locally, give you the inside information on a company before you join them, or meet the chairperson - you can do all these things in the IET.
These and much more is available from membership of the IET.
