Welcome to the Teesside Network web site.  This web site aims to keep you informed about Teesside Network activities and wider IET activities that are likely to be of interest to Teesside Network members.

May I take this opportunity in welcoming you to the 2011-12 session for the IET Teesside Network. The year ahead is again very busy and we have included an interesting events programme detailing key contacts and all the currently planned local events, including:

Over the years we have developed a strong and experienced committee here on Teesside, and we have an excellent relationship with the award winning Teesside University which provides a superb venue for our monthly committee meetings, lectures and seminars.

Our additional aims for future sessions are to:

• Organise Community of Interest meetings, with optional Industrial visits, are being arranged to discuss key learning from relevant incidents, Health & Safety issues, and experiences with new equipment, refer to website for further details.
• Provide support with routes to registration clinics to encourage continued professional development and membership progression.
• Create interest in schools and colleges to promote science, technology, engineering and maths.

Our IET Teesside Network Committee meetings are held at 5:30pm on the first Wednesday of the month (usually in room H018) at the University of Teesside, Middlesbrough. New and exciting IET members are most welcome.

The January meeting will be held on Wednesday 3rd January 2012. The final meeting will be held on Wednesday 2nd May 2012 and will be followed by the AGM.

Please do not hesitate to contact myself or any member of the committee if you wish to join the committee, be involved with our activities, or to simply contribute new ideas and proposals.
