Welcome to the Teesside Network web site. This web site aims to keep you informed about Teesside Network activities and wider IET activities that are likely to be of interest to Teesside Network members.
Dear Colleague
May I take this opportunity in welcoming you to the first 2010 session for the IET Teesside Network. The year ahead is again very busy and we have included an interesting events programme detailing key contacts and all the currently planned local events, including:
Routes to Registration Clinic, Wednesday, 3 February 2010 from 4pm. University of Teesside, Middlesbrough
Vulcan Bomber evening lecture, Wednesday, 21 April 2010
Over the years we have developed a strong and experienced committee here on Teesside, and we have an excellent relationship with the award winning Teesside University which provides a superb venue for our monthly committee meetings, lectures and seminars.
Our additional aims for future sessions are to:
- Continue building our relationships with The CSI and local schools in order to promote Engineering Science and Technology interests in schools .
- Develop relevant and interesting IET young professionals’ activities.
- Assist members with their professional development and membership progression.
- Provide further ‘Hot Topic’ seminars to suit emerging interests.
- Continue with an Instrument & Electrical Community of Interest on Teesside, to share relevant good practice and learning from events, with at least one Industrial visit.
Please do not hesitate to contact myself or any member of the committee if you wish to be involved with our activities, or to simply contribute new ideas and proposals.
