    About this event

    About this event

Almost everyone has heard of the German Enigma machine from WWII but many other systems were attacked by Bletchley Park's Code breakers too. Enigma & Friends is a collection that brings together many of these systems and displays them side by side for comparison. The period 1935 to 1999 is represented here.

Available to view will be a selection of Hagelin pinwheel machines - C36, BC38, C52, BC52RT, the German Enigma, NEMA, Typex (parts) and Fialka - all Enigma-like machines used by the Swiss, the UK and Russia.

The speaker will cover the above systems from before and during WWII, on into the Cold War.
