The London Network regularly organises events at Savoy Place attracting large numbers of members and their associates. With a central London location, topics are selected to match the interests of the local community. We also like to provide an opportunity for members to socialise at these events. New members and their guests are always welcome.
Evening lectures at Savoy Place generally take place on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from September to June. Registration is from 5.30pm with the lecture starting at 6.30pm. There is also the opportunity to Network after the lecture from 8.00 until 9.30pm.
Friday Afternoon Lectures take place on the last Friday of each month from September to June. Lectures start at 2.00pm. The Friday Lunch Club meets prior to the lecture at 12.30pm . Lunch costs £13.50 and booking is required at least one week in advance. There is no charge for attendance at the lecture only.
Savoy Place is also the venue for The IET London Young Professionals events, which happen from September to June; for more information visit the London Young Professionals pages.
Savoy Place is next door to the Savoy Hotel, on the river side (as opposed to the Strand entrance). The nearest underground station is Embankment. If you use this station, exit the station on the river side (ie out to the main road), and turn left along Victoria Embankment. Walk down towards Waterloo Bridge, which is the next bridge along the river. The IET is a red brick and white stone building on the corner of Savoy Place/Savoy Street, just before you cross the road to go under Waterloo Bridge.
There is a large National Car Park at the South end of Waterloo Bridge, and a parking garage in Savoy Place to the West side of Shellmex House. If you arrive by car at about 5pm, you will usually find pay and display parking bays available close to the IET Building.
