Peterborough Young Engineers

Peterborough Young Engineers (PYE) comprises younger members from the IET, ICE and IMechE.  Its aim is to encourage development and learning for anybody working towards accredited status as an Engineer.  The PYE had a complete change of committee in April, accompanied by a fresh injection of enthusiasm.  PYE will continue to organise the promotion of Engineering within the local community, specifically working with local SETpoint within local schools and organise lectures, tutorials and socials.  More information can be found below.

Promoting Engineering/Technology within local schools

The new committee plan to continue the schools work with SETPOINT and the National Science Week, and aim to reach even more children and promote engineering and technology to a range of ages.  If you are interested in helping out please contact the e-mail address below.

  • National Science Week (organised with Perkins), which reached 250 children
  • School Visits (organised with SETPOINT Cambridgeshire), promoting engineering and technology throughout the year
