Peterborough Young Engineers (PYE)

The Peterborough Young Engineers (PYE) consists of members from:

• The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
• The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)
• The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)

The committee organises technical, careers and social events aimed at young engineers in the Peterborough area. In recent years, the committee has organised presentations on subjects as diverse as fireworks and tractors as well as career events on chartership.

The PYE is also very heavily involved in promoting engineering in local schools, working through SETPOINT, Cambridgeshire’s Science and Engineering Ambassadors programme. Each school year we visit many schools, working with hundreds of children to enthuse them about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects.

The PYE is always keen to hear from those interested in getting involved with the committee. We have informal monthly meetings in the Peterborough area and welcome your contribution to ensure we are meeting your needs.
