The number one target for the BLOODHOUND SSC world land speed record attempt is not speed. It is to inspire and enthuse the next generation of scientists and engineers. Announced to the press by Lord Drayson (DIUS science and innovation minister) in October 2008, the education programme will consist of many current initiatives using a BLOODHOUND theme. These include Engineering Explained Roadshows, Greenpower, Young Engineers, F1 in Schools, Primary Engineer, plus many others. The BLOODHOUND Education Team has developed, in association with Kate Bellingham an Ambassador toolkit for STEM Ambassadors (previously known as SEA's) to promote the BLOODHOUND SSC adventure during their school/college visits.
