IET Wellington Network
IET Local Networks are managed by groups of volunteers. Networks organise events to raise awareness of science, engineering and technology in their local area and promote membership of the IET. All Network events are open to the public and most are free of charge.
On 7th October, 2009, five presenters vied in the Wellington round of this year's IET Present Around The World (PATW) competition.
The winners were:
1. Nick Sarten, Massey University, Palmerston North; "Hand/pose interface for computers"
2. Regan Robinson, Victoria University, Wellington; "Opinion mining"
Congratulations go to all participants who set themselves above the crowd by entering. Our best wishes go to Nick as he prepares to take on the rest of the SW Pacific region at the semi finals in Adelaide next April.
