Mutual recognition agreement (MRA) with Engineers Australia

The IET and Engineers Australia (EA) have established a mutual recognition agreement for professional registration. The agreement confirms the commitment of both institutions to work together to support the professional standing of their registered members.

The agreement outlines a special registration process to enable IET registered members living in Australia to gain professional recognition and acceptance onto the EA national register through the EA and for EA registered engineers living in the UK to again professional registration with the Engineering Council through the IET.

The agreement was signed by IET Chief Executive Secretary Nigel Fine and EA Acting Chief Executive Rupert Grayston on the 30th September 2010 in Canberra, and is available online.
